How to ask good questions?

Modified on Fri, 2 Oct at 2:56 PM

You can use our AI Survey Author to define the questions, but also keep in mind these points:

• What do you really need answers to? – think carefully and be precise with what you ask.

• Formulate yourself briefly, concisely, and precisely in all questions.

• Do not use leading language in question formulations, and never ask two questions in one question text.

• Familiarize yourself with how you can use the relevant question types in Norstat Express; single, multi, rating, and open. Combinations of these will cover most issues.

• Use scales that are well-tested and easy for the respondent to relate to, preferably offer a “Don’t know” option if there are no important reasons to omit it.

• If the limitation of a maximum of five questions does not fully cover the issue, you can easily send out more surveys.
